Find your people between classes.

HangAU is where AU students start small hangouts — coffee after a lecture, a study table before finals, a pickup game at the gym — and grab one of a few seats.

  1. 1 of 4 seats taken

    Someone opens a table.

Pick what, where and when, and how many seats: 4 to 6 people, so everyone actually talks.

  2. 1 of 4 seats taken · 1 request

    You grab a seat.

Tap once to ask. The request goes straight to the host — no awkward group DMs.

  3. 2 of 4 seats taken

    The host lets you in.

Hosts see your profile and verified badge, then approve or pass. Full tables stop taking requests on their own.

  4. 3 of 4 seats taken

    Talk before you meet.

Every hangout gets a group chat and a voice room, so “I'm at the door, blue shirt” is one tap away.

  5. 4 of 4 seats taken

    Then actually show up.

A full table is the point. Members can report no-shows, and people who skip get a three-day break from joining.

Only real AU students.

Student ID check

Sign up with your AU email, then send a selfie and your student ID. A person on the HangAU team approves it — usually the same day.

Small on purpose

Every hangout is 4 to 6 people, and the host chooses who joins. No crowds, no strangers wandering in.

Report, block, done

Report a person, hangout or message in two taps. People you block disappear from your feed and chats.
